Sarah Kroll, a third year dance performance major at UCI, shares her recent experience performing as a dancer in the Disneyland parade “A Christmas Fantasy.” Kroll talks about her journey as a cast member from auditioning to performance and how her job at Disney impacted her life at UCI.
Reporting Efforts: One sit down interview, as well as research into the tradition of parades at Disneyland, research into the Christmas Fantasy parade in particular, and research on auditioning for Disneyland. During the interview, Kroll noted that there was only so much she is allowed to say in regards to specifics of her time working at Disneyland. Disney as an employer imposes strict regulations on what Cast Members (employees) are and are not allowed to say in order to “preserve the magic” of the park. She is still a Cast Member and must adhere to these rules
