How are comparative race studies directly relevant to current events? What findings are there to be made within the study of race? Above all, what does history tell us about not only current racially fueled events, but future ones as well.
I spoke with Professor Claire Kim from the Asian American Studies and Political Science departments about her work in comparative race studies around Asian Americans and African Americans (and Black people as a whole). Her research sheds light on many different minority issues and may encourage us to reevaluate our positions in society, and how we negotiate those positions. Listen here.
