Climate Change exacerbates California’s Droughts and Wildfires

Professor of University of California, Irvine, Amir Aghakouchak specializes in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering and Earth System Science. His climate research has shown that anthropogenic decisions have impactful influences on droughts and wildfires, especially in drought risk areas like Southern California. Currently his efforts are focused on Snow Drought and aiming to better understand snow to water equivalents.
